Ive got windows xp at work, which is fine ntil I now want to print an attachment on an email.
Everything seems to come through as a PRN file when I go to print but instead of printing it goes to SAVE. Even if I then save it I still cant print it as it just does the same thing.
Anyone know how I can solve this please.

What sort of file are you trying to print-Word, Excel etc?
You need to open the attachment with the relevant application and then print from there. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Damn! Thought this thread was going to be about rude pictures! It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
do you have a working printer setup as your default printer? also check there is no 'print to file' box ticked when you try to print0

If you are saying that the attachment has a filetype of .prn then the problem lies with the sender printing something to file and then forwarding it to you. Unless you have exactly the same printer as them then the file is probably useless and even if you do I'm not 100% certain how you'd get it to print (maybe copy to lpt1: or drag and drop? I've really no idea).0

Fortunate I didnt accidentally put a o in the prn then lol.
What happens is: its a drawing xxxxxx.pdf. I can open it to view fine then when I click print it opens a print screen with a view of the document. When I then click the ok button it goes to a box called print to file....................
Ah just seen what it is from info below.
Thanks all.
Sorry it wasnt rude:rotfl:
