I have microsoft works on my PC and use the word processor for documents but often have people asking me to resend documents in Word format.
Is there any easy way to convert them or an easy way just to get a Word package instead ?
Thanks

Try and save a file as document.doc
Or just download openoffice, it has a .doc version of word that is compatible with Microsoft Word.

Hi mate, if I was you, the cheapest legal way to do what you want to do is download Open Office (http://www.openoffice.org) - you can save documents in .doc (Word) format.
I wouldn't use Works for general editing as not many people use it as standard.
Hope that helps.Barclaycard - £489.74 / £500.00
CapitalOne - £1933.92 / £2000.00

Hi there. Havent used Works for a while but when you go to save a file choose the 'save as' option. There should be a drop down box that allows you to choose different file types, i believe there should be one on there that will save it as a word document.
As i say I haven't used it for a while so I'm sorry i couldnt give you a more accurate reply!
You could always try openoffice aswell, its free and allows you to save files in word format!Useful is beautiful0 -
YOU DONT NEED OPENOFFICE
Just folow this ::::::::::>
@Open the works file.
*
@File> Save As
*
@Choose the drop down box
*
@Choose "Word97-2002 &6.0/95 - RTF (*.doc)"
*
@Press Save
*
@Now you have a .doc exrtension Which is the same as Word
:):):)
*
@Or Choose " Rich Text Format (*.rtf) if that dont work, rtf is compatible with loads of programs

Oh and by the way i would avoid using Works as it is basically a fancy version of Wordpad and overall obselete choose Open Office or if you can afford go with office XP/2003.
Hope this helps - works for me:rotfl: :j :T :bdaycake: :xmastree: :bdaycake: :T :j :rotfl:0 -
