  • Still having grief with this one unfortunately.

tiny1, got your pm and replied but not heard back.
Likewise a couple of others tbh.

Looking more likely that I will have to accept the low offer and make up the deficit myself (somehow) but at least get the lower rent-back terms.

Seems most companies do keep you hanging on while all the time knowing they won't up the offer much/at all probably expecting you to become more desperate as time draws on.
They all seem to offer the same amount, approx 25% BMV but with very varied rents. Between £340 and £620 pm.

I'm hoping I might be able to find a human at the mortgage co and possibly negotiate a slightly lower pay-off (maybe stop the amount of interest being added).
Not sure I hold much hope for that though.

After my experiences with these companies I'm not sure I'd recommend it to anyone. Get things sorted before it gets to this stage if at all possible IMO.

go for the low rent one, what have you got to lose ? - unless one of them is offering you the option to buy back your house at a later date ?

Did you take a look at the links i put in for you as per my above thread ?
It's just you sounded desperate yet failed to respond about the info I gave you. Like I said in original post. I took note of the link from another thread a few months back and that OP was singing there praises.
I just thought you may get so help if not better help from these guys.

  • CC, I did check them out and they offered pretty much the same amount but a far higher rent.
    Thanks anyway.

These are the two basic offers I have to consider over the next few hours or so (weekend in reality).
    £75k £475 rent
    £72.5k £350 rent.

Need to decide so that I can secure the extra £2.5k I need to pay off the mortgage co and council.

Worked out that it will have effectively cost me £18k to live here for the last two years. That's made me feel better . lol
