Banks PPI reclaiming procedures...Do the banks follow them.

Hi All,
Banks are very quick to state how they will deal with your PPI complaint, but do they follow their own procedures.
The banks and the FOS expect "YOU" to follow them, but the Banks may not necessarily follow them too closely themselves. For example if their policy states "If after four weeks we have not managed to complete our investigation we will write to you explaining the progress" - did you get that letter.
The banks may have a large PPI reclaim workload, but that is no excuse for short cuts. There is of course an eight week deadline and I wonder how many reclaim complaints are resolved before that eight week deadline, or are the banks not paying out until the eighth week as a matter of principle.

It is a Camels temperament that has truly endeared the camel to man.
Docile and sweet under a caring hand.
But stubborn and angry if ill treated.

I think if more people complained to the FSA about this then firms would get a kick up the jacksy...;)oldnthrifty wrote: »Hi All,

Can we start a sticky and start logging the info.
I can provide my procedure letter and how the bank did not follow it, I can just just remove my personal details. what do you think? It is a Camels temperament that has truly endeared the camel to man.Docile and sweet under a caring hand. But stubborn and angry if ill treated.the camel both wins your heart and your respect.0 -
