Problems with my car

Hi, please can someone advise, my car starts and runs fine after it has been in frost but when it has rained it starts but when I let the clutch out it chugs and looses power and wont pull away, I have to drive round the block 5 times to get past this problem before I dare go on main roads as it would be unsafe.
The RAC have been out to it and fitted new battery when it wouldn't start at all but since that has been sorted now I have this.
What do I do, do I spray it under the bonnet with something to disperse damp, and if so where please? It's a suzuki vitara.

Sounds like that it is just Dampness getting to your HT leads0

From your description it's a misfire under load when the engine is cold. Dampness in the ignition system would normally expect to cause problems starting the car from cold and at idle, not just under load. What car is it, how old is it, and is it diesel or petrol?"You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

It's a Suzuki Vitara as stated clearly in the OP.;);)
Sounds to me like the HT Leads need replacing, assuming that it's a petrol engine.0 -
Takes me back to the days of my mis-firing Ford Cortina, you can often spot the problem area at night when the sparks from the HT leads or distributor cap show up unless the problem is due to a worn distributor rotor or cap , used to use WD40 as a quick fix but ended up fitting new distributor rotor, cap and leads0
