Paypal Dispute - Escalation

Ive just escalated a dispute on ebay - I've C&P what i wrote...

"I purchased an outfit for my daughter from a seller on ebay. The item was described as "worn once in fantastic condition" however when the item arrived, it was torn in two places and had a pulled thread at the neck. I immediately contacted the seller to say i was not happy and requested a full refund, the seller agreed to this and requested the item back. I therefore posted this by recorded delivery. The item was received today, however the seller only offered partial refund and says the item is not in the condition they sent it to me. Ive used ebay for a number of years including as a business seller and never had any problems so Im annoyed that this person is making out I am lying. Both myself and my husband were present when the parcel arrived and the packaging was intact so the damage was not caused by the post.I appreciate any help in this matter and look forward to your response"

Just wondering what happens next? Does the sellers account get blocked until its fixed and should I wait to leave feedback for the seller?

What's more annoying is i asked my hubbie to look at the pic they posted on ebay and if you look very very close ie totally Zooming in you can see where they've hidden the ripped bits to hide the damage!!

Does the tracking number show that the item has been returned to the seller?

If not, because you returned the item before opening the dispute couldn't they claim you have not sent it back to them?

I don't think the sellers account will be blocked, the payment they received from you for the item will be temporarily suspended from their account until a solution is found with the dispute.

Don't leave feedback until its sorted. Paypal will decide on the case and when its decided will tell you. If its in your favour you will have to return the item tracked (at your cost) for a full refund (purchase price and original postage) Good sellers would refund return postage but if its gone to a claim I doubt they will
