installed word 2002 cannot find it

Hi

i installed word 2002 as my free 2003 trial ran out, i cant find it anywhere, also tried to install an old excel 200 cd and it says e:/setup.ini is not valid?

Anyone know whats wrong, i am running windows xp

Did you uninstall 03 first?

Try Start all programs and have a look there.

Or right click the desktop, new shortcut and browse to C:\ then Program Files then Microsoft Office so you get to a target of or similar to.

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\WINWORD.EXE"

Hi yes i have looked there and its not there, cannopt find it in office link either

Try a system restore to before when you installed Office 03

Start, Run, then type msconfig then click Launch System Restore and then choose a date before the 03 install, then you may need to install 02 again.

Restore takes about 10mins and is a simple first thing to do.

there is no system restore before this month. cannot go back further than this for some reason

What I would do is Uninstall and reinstall, maybe a bad install as no shortcuts were created, just a thought. :think:
