It's funny cause they have had them in stock for about an hour. If they don't sell out soon I am going to end up buying more of the critters!!

I have a better idea. Don't buy them and use the £20 you would have spent to treat yourself to next week's Boots offer of the week

Apparantly it's gonna be reduced to £20 from the 18th

Have you ordered Hammies from them in the past? I think it is now two per household and past orders may count.

You just wrote what I was thinking. I was told its 2 per household and this INCLUDES any past orders, they reject them by saying your card is declined :)

I'm not surprise that they still have them in stock since people can only order 2. They must have a few thousand although in the end it still won't be enough to satisfy demand. Amazing how quickly they can manufacture and ship these items from China :T

I've just rang tesco to see why my order for a couple of hammies had the card refused e mail. Tried with a different card, and same thing. Anyway, apparently the WRONG email is being sent to people. There is nothing wrong with the cards. The policy of 2 hamsters per household is using a fraud system whereby they are checking all the details, address, name etc, and if you have ordered hamsters before from them, even a few weeks ago, then that is why you are being refused because you have already had your allocation. I said I was disgusted that this wasn't clearly stated on their restriction bit as people were wasting their time trying to order with various cards. I was told it is in the terms and conditions under the 'bulk buying' policy and they are aware that there is a problem with the email being sent out as they are receiving hundreds of calls. So basically if you've ordered 2 hammies before from them, then the likelihood is that you will have the card refusal e mail. If however, you've only ordered one before and order one more, then in theory it should go through...

Yes you can use them without anything. They work better on smooth flooring such as wood, laminate etc - the thicker the carpet pile the more likely they will get stuck.
Cost of this Hamster Hunt (inc postage):
    2 x Num Nums - £36.70, 1 x Chunk £13.50, 1 x Chunk £15.50, Slide £26.89, House £25.94, Car £14.99, Ball £9.99, Surfboard £9.99, Skateboard £9.99, Wheel £24.19 TOTAL:£187.68

A big thanks to you MSE'ers - especially Maximouse :A

I have bought my niece a hamster with a house for Xmas.

My theory is that I can add to this for her birthday in Feb if she likes it.

What age are people buying these for?

Thanks Cazevans. My sister has carpet but she can just get a new floor put in if needsbe -I reckon that would be a much cheaper option if this thread is anything to go by!! Cheers again.
