I need some help & advice. I've been signed of sick for a long period of time. We have applied for housing benefits, but due to that we rent from a family member we were turned down. Also applied for DLA, again, turned down, reason was i can walk 200m... even though i am on oxygen & can't leave the house without it...My husband is not working full time, I'm getting SSP, but are there any other benefits we could apply for?

Have you spoken to the local authority about "reasonableness to occupy"
They can have you as homeless at home- as it is no longer reasonable for you to occupy the roperty due to you not being able to afford it?
Are you on a tenancy agreement with your family member? If so, when does it end and does it have a break clause? Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
