What is the legal position on selling stuff on ebay whilst on Income Support to help clear my debts?

its legal since you are only selling stuff, as long as it doesnt take you over the savings threshold you are fine but as its for clearing debts it wont.0

Dont buy items to sell otherwise your classed as trading and they will take any profit in to account as income and may reduce your IS, selling pof personnal items is fine and doesn't need to be declaredI no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.0
