Oulook 2007 Spellcheck

Can someone please tell me how to stop Outlook spellchecking in US English? I have found the language options in Office and set UK English as the default and also removed US English from the enabled spellcheckers.

It won't stay that way though and as soon as I launch outlook and spell check it starts trying to replace all the s with z and trying to delete u!! To add insult to injury it won't let me add the correct spelling to the US dictionary so I have to select UK english to get past the word. As this can be 15 times or so in an email it is driving me up the wall.

If I then go back to the language options the dreaded US english has re-enabled itself although the default is still showing as UK.
