Eligible or not?

Hi everyone,

I have a loan with EGG for over 10 years now and have added and to it and altered it over that period. This includes the PPI. I removed it when I got my latest loan of them a few years ago. I am certain they mis-sold it to me originally when I thought it was complusory. I eventually got wise and removed it from the latest loan I took out with them a few years ago.

The question I have is can I claim back the PPI I paid on the loan before I got wise. I am fairly certain it comes within the 6 years period that seems so important. And technically speaking it is an active loan that has just been added to over time?

I would be grateful for any advice as I am determined to get something back because the PPI was about £130 per month for good period of time until I got wise...

Many thanks,
scg

Hello and welcome and yes you can.

A lot of money on the PPI to reclaim back there I expect, and the interest, so go for it with the reasons you have.

Below is a useful link to the guidelines of reclaiming, this includes templates and a list of mis selling reasons, as some of them may apply to you as well.
Follow the guidelines, you can use the templates if you want to with your reasons, or as a guide with again your reasons you have and post by recorded delivery, this is your proof of posting, good luck and please keep us posted and ask for help if required.

If you have had a few loans with ppi with the same bank you can of course write to reclaim on the same letter, just as long as you have the same mis selling reasons for all, remember to incluse all the account numbers this applies to, hope this helps, good luck.;)
