Tinted windows annoying me
Does anyone know a cheaper way of removing tinted windows?
My new car has them on the rear window and the rear sides. I don't like them - reduces visibility. It's fair to say it's my fault for buying the car with them but it was at a good price.
The tint is actually in the glass, so it would be a case of removing the whole pane.
Is there a cheap way to do this?

Glass damage excess is normally £60 and doesn't affect your no-claims bonus on most policies. So walking past with a careless hammer could be a cheap way to do it. [that was a joke for the grumpies]:D
Seriously though, you'll get used to it and double flipping the indicators to say thank you to other drivers becomes second nature. The man without a signature.0 -
try phoning your local 'autoglass' person and ask how much for non tints, and if they would be interested in giving you an allowance on your tinted onesI MOJACAR0

It seems to come standard on the facelift 2007 Focus to have the rears heavily tinted. I personally think it looks a bit naff.0

you had the car at a good price it doesnt seem logical to me to have to spend money needlessly to change the windows coz theyre tinted all beit its naff but think of it this way the film in the glass will prevent the glass from shatering all over the interior and persons if it happend to get smashed in an accident the film will hold the glass splinters in place, plus security side of it you parked up in town and friend or family mobile slips out of pocket onto back seat unnoticed it wont be spotted buy local drug taker looking for easy something to convert to cash as easily if they werent tinted.0
