Longer Seperation Allowance can be accessed from the JSP 752.

The rates are within Chapter 1, Section 6 under Para - 01.0604.


Let me know what you want to know, and i can tell you if you cant find it.

4. Longer Separation Allowance. The AFPRB recommended that the qualifying period between each level of Longer Separation Allowance (LSA) should be reduced by 60 days. The AFPRB recommended the following daily rates for LSA from 1 April 2009:

Is it a rolling time for the days away, or is it all days since it started, reason I ask is on HB JPA it states he has only been away for 15 days, he was away for 125 days aug 07 - dec 07 and for 123 days aug 05 - aug 05, what should it say.

I thought it all counted, but HB thinks its a rolling two years for RAF and rolling three years for Navy and Army - which is unfair - as here - we have joint Navy/Airforce Sqn's that deploy together.

Its all days since started, though there was a slight reduction when the change to LSA occured for those who originally accrued LSSA. There are caveats on when you are entitled to LSA but can't remember them off the top of my head.

Is there somewhere I can find out about the levels as I know it's the number of previous days away. I think my OH may be on level 1 or 2 as he's done 362 days away (as per his pay slip).
