Panel Heaters
I have just bought a 2 bed end of terrace house which had very old storage heaters which we are going to remove and install Dimplex EPX Panel heaters.
We didnt like the storage heaters as we wanted to have heat when we wanted and we had no control.
Has anyone else bought these heaters? Do they give out much heat?
Has anyone got any tips for good insulation on windows as we have now noticed that a draft has been coming in.
Thanks

Over £100 is one heck of a lot of money for a glorified convector heater. If you buy a 1.5Kw model it will give out exactly the same amount of heat as one you could pick up for £25 of a similar rating.
Using day rate electricity is one of the most expensive ways of heating your home. Storage heaters using cheap night rate would be more economical to run.
You can get seasonal double glazing, (like cling film) for your windows, or buy heavy curtains. That gum you like is coming back in style.0 -
I know it is more economical to run but im not getting the heat i want. I'm at work in the day so only require heating for a couple of hours in the morning and then in the evenings for a couple of hours so i won't be using it that much.
I have seen EDF advertise a ECO 20:20 plan. Which you pay a discounted rate after 9pm-7am and all weekend. Is anybody on this tariff. If so how do you find it?0
