What always uses electricity?

Got one of thos BG Smart meters the other day so have been trying to figure out roughly what everything uses in the house until I get bored of it and stick it in the draw. Anyhow when everything but Sky (x2) and LCD TV (x2) all on standby (TV's only 0.9W so cannot be bothered to turn those off at wall), fridge, freezer and cordless phone meter says I'm using 0.16kW an hour. I make the items I've just listed around 90-100W. Just wondering what else in the house uses electricity all the time - smoke alarms are mains wired but cannot imagine they use much, our burglar alarm must use some I guess, anything to do with central heating, etc.. Not worried as only using £0.01 per hour with everything off, just interested thats all...

The same things as you say-the clock on your cooker/microwave, smoke alarms, burglar alarm, CH programmer etc.
Mine ticks over at about 250W when nothing else is on, that's a fridge/freezer, and a separate fridge and freezer.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

Could be the doorbell transformer...if you have one.

Could also be that the 0.01 just means the doo-hickey device needs zeroing....mind 1/100th of a watt is not worth losing any sleep over.

    1p per hour = 24p per day = £87.60 per year = £1051.20 over 12 years

Someone on the minimum wage of £5.80 would have to work over 15 hours to pay a years worth of 1p per hour
