douglas st james???

just got a call from a guy from company called douglas st james -swiss. they are based in switzerland.
apparently;
they analyse shares and give hot tips. they r not na stockbroker and u pay them no money.
they get their money because when they beleive that the share has reached its peak they tell u to sell and they get money from the company u had shares in.
he claims i never pay them anything.
whole thin seems a bit weird.

anyone heard anything about them?

    There was a spate of 'stockbrokers' calling from Switzerland a few years ago. Possibly they are now out of prison and starting again.

  • these people have been calling me on and off for several months.today they gave me the name of a share trading on the nasdaq.i did a little research of my own and decided that the "chart" was bearish.i rang and told them this,and advise them that i did not wish to get involved in that recommendation.they began to get really shirty with me and question my analytical abilities.to cap it all i was told that they only wanted a gpb5000 investment from me.happy days!
  • hi just been pestered by these over last couple of days. the guy said i'd been checking out stocks and shares and had asked them for for info a few weeks ago, which i may have inadvertantly done through 1 or 2 websites i had been checking out. but anyway his manner and 'spiel' was great, he almost had me convinced that his company was above board and fully kosher and new what it was doing. apparently all they do is get information before anyone else about which company's stock is about to rise, they let you know for free, they don't even sell you the shares you do it yourself then in a year or two when the company's shares are about to drop they contact you and advise you to sell, then they make a bonus off the company whose shares you are selling and you pay them.... nothing! sounds too good to be true so i put their name into google and come up with the fsa some other financial bodies and you! all warning of them! needless to say when he rings me tomorrow with the name of this 'hot tip' i think i will say goodbye, in so many words!
  • the hot tip given to me has fallen from 76cents to 31cents at last nights close in usa!!!!!no i did not get involved on the long side!!!

    Just in case a new reader takes your, "... watch with interest ..." seriously, I'd just like to repeat an earlier link:
