Credit Card arrears

Hi guys hope your all well.

Right just a little poser here. Moved out in august and everything was going well financially and socially. then something personal unexpected came up i had to pay for and hence have got behind on my credit card payments. My credit limit is £3300 and i think i owe £3500 so am now in arrears. I am planning on getting back on track next month (january) and thing from then on will be back to normal, Whats the chance of them freezing my interest till then? or accepting lower payments till then?

anyone had dealings with halifax being in arrears and how they dealt with it.

cheers guys

If you ask for this and they accept they may well mark your file with "Arrangement To Pay" which will trash your file for 6 years

You've already been unexpectedly caught out once. Do you really think that won't happen again in the next 6 years? I'd think carefully before getting your credit file tarnished

but if its my only option etc?

i got a card come through saying Retail bank collections leeds with the halifax logo on the top saying that a representative will be coming to my house on monday 7th december. it almost looked like a wage slip.

Says if its not convenient then ring this number 0845 etc.

I dont want somebody coming in my house plus i will be at work. Thats why im trying to sort a payment scheme out with them. either that or find somebody to lend me the money.

i have rang halifax up who are going to put me on a 3 month payment scheme. they have cancelled all there phone calls for 10 days as im not within the 17 day period of making a payment in a 3 month payment scheme. I presume this is going to stop the person from visiting my house on monday as he has put all of this on my file.
