I was a victim of the earlier "early closing". After three months I got full recompense. (I also initially got the "this is normal" comment from staff.)
    What a shower!

Does the Abbey/Santander get anything right? The circus goes on, error after error. Nobody seems to be happy with what they have to offer. They really are then bank from hell. One thing the Abbey staff have always had in common with their spannish Santander counterparts is that they have always taken afternoon siestas.

Someone in my bank (HSBC) was telling me that there was an mystery shopper inbranch survey done which visited the big banks, guess which bank came bottom.

    SANTANDER:eek:

My extra interest didn't arrive. Rather than hanging around with CS on the phone and going from A - Z, I have written straight to Complaints Dept. I have learned the hard way. You get a more definitive response from the Complaints Dept. in the end (but even they can get it wrong I've found).

For those of you who didn't get their final interest upon maturity, you might want to check out now, as my remaining 2 months interest was paid in today. I saw it online and coincidentally the RS transactions are now
visible online (almost as though they unlocked allowing you to see them once again). Still not had a reply to my letter although when I transferred the remaining interest out I was told that a letter had been posted on the 11th. Still waiting.
