insurance for a 18 year old driver

anyone recommend an insurance company for my son who as just passed to be insured on my clio ,the cheapest i could get was just short of a grand :eek:

Will he be a named driver on your policy or will you be the named driver on his policy?
either way i would look at going to an insurance firm that will give you both seperate no-claims discount, i think direct line do this?!
also you should consider him doing his pass plus as this can bring the premium down and reduce the chance of accidents.
1k is typical now unfortunately and to have him on his own policy would probably top 2k. it was £1200 for my brother 7 years ago!0
