Charges for 'Card Missuse'

Hi

I am wondering if anyone can help me. I have been charged for using my debit (Solo) card the other day. I had £4 ish in my account and used my card for about £3 which I thought wouldnt be a problem. Now the Bank have taken interest out for my overdraft a couple of days later and charged me for 'Card Missuse'

I don't get why they have charged me when I phoned the manager of my branch said I used my card with no money in account when clearly there was. Is there anything I can do

Thanks in advance

What did the manager say when you explained that you thought you did have money in your account that covered the outgoings?

Edit: What, card misuse again???

She said clearly I didnt and it takes 3 days to go through their system, they not refunding any charges. I told her I had the funds in the bank at the time I used my card so how can it be Card Missuse. To be honest it sounded like she was reading from a script.

She said that the interest chrges took my account overdrawn and then the payment was a guaranteed card payment which was card missuse, but I used my card a couple of days before the interest charges were debited. I don't get it.

And they told you that you didnt. It sounds like you were not including uncleared transactions and spent what you didnt have by using a guaranteed cheque. So, misuse is correct.
