Yup, got an email about it the other day. Very disappointing that what was so promising to start with has basically fallen on its bum.Fight Crime : Shoot Back.

I think he is still trying but it seems no fuel retailer is really interested in getting on board.0

I would guess that, given the ridiculously high levies on fuel coupled with the high price, any cut that could be made would only be in the order of a few pence and barely worth the effort. Especially if it was someone like BP, who have a nasty habit of being more expensive than the competition. Any cut there would only bring them down to the same level as anyone else...Fight Crime : Shoot Back.

The Pipeline Card was flawed from the start. If the discount was given to a certain number of people then it would have survived. By allowing the whole world to join there is no benefit to the retailer. Why would any retailer give a discount to 99% of their customers? The man without a signature.0 -

I remember at one time they were looking for x number (300,000?) of memebers. Then it they were told "not enough memebers" so recruitment continued. It smacks of, retailers not being interested now, not wanting to reject it completely in case they want to change their mind later and changing the goal posts.0 -
sounds like a scam to get a load of contact details to sell to marketing types0

Very annoyed at getting the email. Told them a long time ago to stop spamming me after they started sending out car insurance nonsense. Now the spamming starts again.0 -
I dont really see how they could have offered any great discount through a supermarket, since the retail margins are so small. Would have required a large player on board to get it to work I think, and what would be the benefit them? Apart from maybe the marketing details.
I think the supermarkets who do the whole spend £x and save y-pence per litre seem to have a good thing going.0
