  • just wanted to say thanks guys :)

Along side the sealed pot ive been putting £100 away (in another sealed pot lol) to pay back my Nanna for a loan she gave me for a car, i phoned and asked her to open the pot and total up how much was there (to see if my Crimbo bonus would pay it off completely)

AND the total (with a little extra from doing without the little things) is

    ....................................................................

    £900 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

considering ive only been saving since August im soooooooooo pleased, and so is Nanna as she thought i hadnt been saving at all (bless her)

Now, i only have £300 to go and will have her all paid back by April and will then be able to save this towards something else.

Im babbling as usual, the main point for my post is that without this thread, i wouldnt have done it,

I joined this thread up a financial creek with the ex in 2007, opened one pot to bail me out of some bills and buy myself some much needed glasses, when i left following his adulty, the second pot got me food on the table in 2008, by carrying on with the pot through the rough times in 2009 i managed to keep my head above water and cracked open the 3rd pot to clear the last of my personal debts and to cover an unexpected bill.

The pot is now ready to go again, the tail end of 2009 savings have not been looked at or opened and i am adding to it gradually with 4 clunks last night :D

I am going to stop babbling now, but thank you, without this thread i would have been dependant upon CC's, loans from friends, or on robbing Peter to pay Paul.

    Thanks
