Incidentally, last year I said I was saving for Christmas. Well with grateful thanks to good old MSE I've already finished my Christmas shopping, mostly with freebies/bargains found here.

So the money will buy a new television and stand for the lounge as the one we have is almost 20 years old and very much about to breathe it's last gasp.

So thank you to MSE. Without that pot I have no idea what we would have done!

hello!! Think you gave me a number on the old thread (766??) - target of £150 for me please! Made a start last night by rounding up all of our change in the house and shoving it in a drawer until I find a proper pot. hoorah!!

Can I join in and have a number as well please?? I've watched this for the last couple of years now and wondered what it was all about. Think its a fantastic idea and anything I manage to save will be a bonus!!!!

I'm thinking of keeping a separate jar just for roadkill alongside my sealed pot and see how much i manage to pick up over the year, did quite well this year, heart stopping when you find a note:D
