Bank charges - what now?

I was offered a refund of bank charges with the proviso that the amount was taken off my defaulted loan with the bank, though I had set up a payment plan. Tried to claim the full amount without the conditions attached via court, but got put on hold. The High court decision ruled against the public. Any ideas on what to do next?

The decision didn't entirely go against the public

As previously posted, you've probably lost it now
    Q. My case is on hold with the courts, what is going to happen?

    A. ...
If your case is based on the old template letters and the court deals with it, it's very likely to be struck out...

    Q. How likely is it I will get my money back?

    A. Much less likely than prior to the result, but not impossible. Still, the best thing to do is plan for getting nothing, but cross your fingers.

As we know many people would like a 'what's the chance' type answer, our instinctive guess is even with the new argument there is only a 10-20% chance of most people now getting charges back.

80% of account holders do not pay these charges.
How can you say the decision ruled against the public?
You should have taken the offer rather than being greedy.

Or maybe desperate?? Not everyone is greedy and not everyone is desperate.
The bank did have the right of set off against any money refunded though.

To the OP, did you ask for advice at the time and what advice was given?
