JSA + other benefits help

I was recently made redundant after 2.5 years with my employer. They told me at the end of October and my notice ended yesterday (end of November).

Luckily I have found another job and am due to start on 14 December, two weeks after my redundancy. Can I claim JSA for this two week period even though I have another job lined up? Should I notify tax credits now of the change to my circumstances or just do it when I know details of my new salary etc in a couple of weeks? Is there anything else I could get to help for these next two weeks?

December pay is going to be very low; just what you need before Christmas!

You should notify tax credits of any changes as they happen
