when they advise you to space out your loan-credit card applications, and dont apply for too many at once, what would be the frequency at which you should apply for credit cards....to be on the 'safe side'

2-3 credit cards every 4 months? (spaced out/or on the same week/or same day) for example?

4 credit cards in 6 months? (spaced out/or on the same week/or same day) for example?

Is it safe to do the Same day one, in the fact that they will be documented, and each card wont be able to tell that other applications have been made out (as they are too recent to have been noted on your credit file) ?

Give me the best-safe case scenario- ie my Credit is above average.

you could apply for 3 or 4 in a day and then none for 6-9 months

10 searches a year is viewed as "sufficient"

    Hi,

Did you (or anybody else) apply for several credit cards at once?

Did it work? How many did you do?

I am thinking about trying a few for stoozing against my offset mortgage and if half say yes then great.

    Any comments would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I would have thought the best bet was just to stop applying for more loans and credit cards.

    Hi,

Sorry I think you've got me confused with somebody else. I don't have any problems getting credit but I would like to get as much credit as possible for stoozing purposes. :)

If anybody can tell me how quickly your credit file updates after you apply for a credit card then please let me know.

    Thanks

Sorry, I should have made my post more clear. I was referring to 'Danny G', who created this thread.

If you mean how quickly credit searches take to appear on your credit file, then it's instantly as far as I'm aware. The search data is recorded on your file the moment the lender looks at it.

I've had 6 searches in the last 3 months (most of them in the last 3 weeks). However I'm moving house, got a new credit card etc. etc. Not been declined yet lol

    Barclaycard Gold and Natwest Classic

I think you have to be a Natwest customer but I'm not sure :)
