Parcel Monkey.com claims is a joke!

I think you have just been unlucky, l have claimed refunds in the past for non-collections by City Link and they were refunded within 24-48hrs on each occasion.
It is my opinion that it is due to a decline in the service by City Link that is the cause of the recent negative posts across the internet as a whole about Parcel Monkey.
I have been using Parcel Force more due to the issues with City Link, ok the costs may be higher but the £3 cashback via TCB for each booking is adding up nicely.0 -
Regarding my thoughts about City Link l have heard back from Parcel Monkey which does confirm that City Link are the catalyst of issues. Reading between the lines it also seems that the issues may well spread to other re-sellers.
Here is the copy&paste
I can confirm City Link have made recent boundary changes for each depot meaning more / different postcodes covered which has not worked as well as they would have wanted shall we say!!
In your area we have been advised to suspend both Chelmsford North and South depots until early next week as well as Swindon and Bournemouth.
Our performance with City Link has gone down since just before Easter and after pressing for answers we have finally been told this.
As you can imagine a number of customers are upset by the loss of City Link on our site but they can book it through another reseller and take their chances but we have been told that only regular multiple collections will happen for now in the problem areas while the back log / technical issues are resolved.

reads like giving drivers bigger areas to cover.
then shocked when it takes longer!0 -
Why use Parcel Monkey at all now that the charges went up?
ipostparcels.com is cheaper - especially when used with the tweet01 10% off code or you ship multiple items.0 -
I'm new onto this website, I don't normally do this but this has really infuriated me.
I personally am a branch manager of a large home entertainment retail store so I am well experienced in good service and what can be done in certain circumstances.
My partner sold an item on eBay (pushchair) and wanted it delivered with insurance just in case something happened. She sent this unit as you would normally do. However it was not delivered to the customer. She spent about a week contacting city link which was the chosen couriers of Parcel Monkey. when she heard nothing from city link I had to contact them myself. When I did I asked them who signed for the unit as it was marked as delivered. It turned out the driver that was stop posed to be delivering the unit was contracted in from an outside company and he couldn't remember where he left it. It was marked as left in a porch but the customer did not have a porch.
So after a lot of back and forth city link accepted that the unit was lost. I sent it onto parcel monkey and gave them the eBay link as to whom it was sold and for how much.
Parcel monkey have taken almost a month to tell me that they will look into this. In my opinion this couldn't be more clean cut. The unit was lost and has been confirmed by city link the unit is lost. My partner purchased cover upto £100 which she is not able to claim on. Parcel monkey are now telling me that it will take a further month to give us an answer. I which time eBay have refunded the customer what they paid and my partner cannot refund that amount back to eBay as parcel monkey are taking way too long to refund us so her eBay account will see suspended.
Complete incompetence from parcel monkey and I am being inconvenienced for something which was not my fault and have no control over.
Has anyone else had this issue? Wha did you do?
Thanks
Rant over...
