Sound on PC ?

Hello,
My late hubby configured the PC to connect to the hi-fi /surround sound system and now when I turn the volume up ,I can only hear the TV .

How can I disconnect the PC from the Surround system please ?

I am computer illiterate so ,trying to learn .

This is so hard to answer without knowing your setup.

Your husband may have set things up to just switch at a flick of a button on the amplifier on the surround sound, or he may have had it set up that you need to change wires/plugs.

This would be soooooooo difficult to tell without seeing the setup. There are so many possible variations of how this could work.

Have you not got any friends that would possibly be able to help you?

Can you not chase any wires from the computer to the surround sound system? These would be audio leads.

Thanks ,I think I need to do that .

If it was wires and leads ,would I need to reset the computer ?

I asked my neighbours and they don't know either .lol

No. Just pull them out if you really want to disconect the computer. It won't affect anything else (except lack of sound).
