Can Smart phone with PDA/Palmtop replace a laptop ??

If yes then which is the latest smart phone which come near to do this and can we get it as PAYG and then unlock it ??

    My aim ( money pending) is to replace my XDA EXEC and laptop and go for a ultra slim laptop with 3g /wifi card

    but suppose it depends what you want do with/ programs to run.

    In a word - Nope

    There are still times when you need the flexibility of a laptop, no question about it.

    If you can get away with just reading emails, and maybe the odd reply until you can get back to base, then a smartphone is great. But for full on replies, reading/printing of attachments, producing of word/excel documents and surfing 99% of websites a laptop is still required.

    It is almost there, just not quite there yet.
