  • Sadly I don't think I'm naturally beautiful! Look dog rough most of the time, thats the problem. Bought a mascara and lipgloss today, justifying it as it was Boots no 7 and that is cheap for me.
Still can't get hang of this message buisness, how do you get your details back or is it automatic?
Incidentally Lynzpower did you get your £250 back from hotel? Couldn't find answer.

  • Discovered it is all automatic. Cheers.
Perhaps I will get addicted to this site and come on here for a hit instead of going to Boots all the time!!

Can't post an SOA at moment as in the process of changing nursery voucher amounts so I am not sure how much I will earn this month, but I have approx £120 to spend on myself after paying debts and contributing to bills. This should be more than adequate but it isn't. We put £500 a month into a tin for food, petrol, stuff for kids and day to day expenses and I manage to make sure there is nothing left in that either though I am quite sure there should be. I do have a terrible, expensive makeup addiction, eg £69 on Clarins last month, £50 Aveda the month before so it is all my own fault. I need a good slap probably!!

When you do know how much you'll earn, post a SOA asap. You need to break down the £500 a month for household expenses too as I am sure this could be cut down also.

Each and every one of us on here has been bad at handling money at one stage at their life, some of us are still struggling, but some of us are reformed characters, some of us also a bit tight now (like moi!!).

That is a lot of money to be spending (clarins/aveda) - I used to do the same & spend a LOT of money on beauty products, but since being in debt I have found that the cheaper ones are just as good. I think thats a self esteem issue rather than you actually NEEDING the products?

Is there an early payment penalty on your loan? Can you overpay each month? What are your goals? Just to become debt free or do you have a target in sight? Holiday? DIY on house? Or just to have better control of your finances?

I couldnt imagine not saving any money now, whereas once upon a time I felt as though I had to spend ALL of my wages and MORE!! I just couldnt do it now. I have friends that do, but I just couldnt.

    xx

I am sure thats not true ellimo!! I used to feel like that (as I said in previous post), but you soon learn that it doesnt cost a lot to make yourself feel better about yourself & buying beauty products/new clothes/ etc etc only disguises the fact and doesnt really solve anything...!!

I use Boots own wipes/eye make up remover, garnier moisturiser - I appreciate I am a bit more high maintenance than some (my housemates dont even moisturise!!???!!) but I am also low maintenance in comparison to others... Not sure why I had to say that, but there you go!!

Definately hang around here more & stay away from Boots :D !!
