This is a pretty good....There is a good rate on their e-savings at 2.80% and I can win an iphone rather than spending £500 quid on it

Gosh they are getting desperate now - their interest rates are lousy.
Got a bond maturing end of this month with Halifax, it will be going somewhere else after that, iphone or no iphone.

That's what I thought - but ended up putting it in their 2 years @ 4.2%
- didn't want to fix for longer;
-no loss of days intransit;
-easy online setup;
- no ID stuff
- better 2 year fixes were only offering 0.05% more
....and now I might get an iphone ......................or not
