DFS Cancellation

I bought a suite from DFS n 9 Nov 09. I was told 99% it would arrive before Christmas. Apparently, I meet the criteria for 1% as I am given a date in January for delivery. I would LIKE to cancel, but understand I have no cancellation rights from DFS. I have read loads of postings from people in similar situations.

HOWEVER...

I took the suite on 4 years free credit; no payments for 1 year deal. DFS gave me the wrong copy of the paperwork. They kept my copy and I have theirs. DFS have recently called and asked that I return to the shop with their copy of the paperwork. I asked if it was important because I can't find it. Apparently "the loan company wants a copy" and if I cant find it I need to return to the store and sign another agreement.

What if I DONT return to the store, and can't find the original agreement? does that mean they will not receive payment, and will have to cancel the contract?

One thing I didnt mention in my previous post is that I have just lost my job last week. So I do'nt know how this will affect my application if I go to the store and fill another one in.
