    Hi castle96,

No they can't have a print out with your consumption on from us. We don't disclose that information with other suppliers.

I think you were correct to be wary, did you give them any information?

Never ever give these people any information.
DO NOT show them a bill from your utility company.
If you do, then contact your utility company straight away and let them know, otherwise you may find yourself being switched.

    no none.
I am now (after end of fixed rate) on Eon Price Protect (5/2011) R3. Seems to be getting expensive... (Have both Gas/Elec with you). £57 p/mth by DDM, probably using £67

    Any recommendations please ?

    Hi castle96,

The R3 tariff will be more expensive as you are now protecting your prices for a new longer duration, so it's essentially a premium for the extended time frame.

I can't recommend you a tariff as per the rules of the forum. :o

However I have my personal email to the left of my post and if you wish to contact me i'll happily look into the best options avaible with us. :)

My advice is to also use the compaison websites for an independent search, use the resource bar at the top of the gas and electricity forum.

Apart from the fact that they're trying it on, how on earth can they claim to know thta you're using 'too much' electricity . Paying too much I can understand them commenting on, but how on earth is anyone going to know how much you need? There are plenty of valid reasons for using more than average... my electricity consumption has gone up since I've been working from home more - but this is more than compensated for in the reduction in fuel costs for commuting!

these sales guys are getting desperate and their tall tales (aka lies) are getting more and more stupid showing that they think we are as thick or ignorant of such things. I know times are hard but honesty pays off in long run.

I have never had that said to me. What makes me feel uncomfortable is that they know your name, do they get it off the electoral register?

Never believe what they say untill you have tested it. Again, if you tested it, you would have been tighted into a one year contract. Unless the supplier you use is Utility Warehouse as they don't tight you into a minimum term contract, they bill you monthly.all you need to do is to give them a 28 days notice if you want to switch to other suppliers(it is unlikely to happen with their great benefits, such as all household bills on a single bill). you can check it out on my web.
