Scottish Hydro Electric phone voucher??

Had a guy from SHE come round last week and I switched my BT phone line over to theirs, worked out at £1.50 a month cheaper and he gave me a voucher for £10 off my electric&gas per month.
Iv yet to send it off but just wondering how this works? Do they just credit £10 to my account and therefor get my direct debit amount lowered or does it just build up a credit on my account?
I asked him but as he worked for the phone side of things he wasnt sure how it worked.

So they are going to send you a £10 voucher for gas and elec? I would imagine this would be credited to your account, but i wouldn't imagine your DD would be lowered because of this.

No I have the voucher here the guy gave me it after I filled out the forms to change my phone over to them. Iv got to put my name and adress etc on the back then post it off
So I will have a credit of £120 after a year then?
