Best time of month for credit transfer?

I've got £1000 on card A with payment due by the end of the month.

Card B with 0% interest for 13 months has just arrived.

Is there a best time of the month to transfer the balance? Any way to get a month's payment holiday in effect?

In the past I have made Balance Transfers in such a way that the Balance Transfer covers the monthly payment on the card I am paying off.

Then there is usually a month or so before the new card requires a monthly payment, so I have effectively skipped a payment.

This needs care though incase the Balance Transfer is delayed and if it has not gone through in good time, make sure you make the Minimum Payment before the Due Date, otherwise you will incurr penalty fees.

P.S. I am a sad case who checks my accounts online everyday, so I know exactly what is due, what has been paid and what has not been paid

No you're not a sad case.

Checking your account everyday - that's very savvy! I do the same - what if someone commits fraud on your account? You'll know very soon and you could sort it out quickly.

I've never paid my cards by direct debit in the last six years yet I've never ever missed or been late for a payment - for the very reason of online banking. Even when its not available I phone up to check whether they've received the payment.
