    You need to be fairly close to the cell for it to work well.

    Although it may connect at 7.2Mbps don't expect to get much better than 1-2Mbps unless you are lucky.

    It's pretty much plug and play - plug in the modem and it will install the necessary software.

    Download limits tend to be parsimonious. Some (O2 at least) offer WiFi access as well if you are near one of their hotspots.

    The real determining factor on whether it will work well or not is your location.

    Don't be tempted by the contract + free laptop deals - they will cost more than buying the two seperately. Virtually all mobile BB attracts cashback via Quidco TopCashBack and others.
  • Thanks Quickbreaks.

    What is the cell :confused::o?

    Thanks

    That's the mobile phone mast.

    You can check using http://www.sitefinder.ofcom.org.uk/ which masts are near to the places you expect to use it. You are looking for UMTS 2100MHz cells. Ideally you want to be within 500 meters or so of one or you may have to resort to dangling the modem out of a window or other inconvenient tricks.
