I have come in possession of a security camera, and I remember once watching a program on TV, explaining how all computer are capable of being set up for this purpose.
Does any "TECHIE" out there know how to do it?

It does depend on what type of camera you have and what type of connection it has to send the Video to your PC i.e is it coax or is there someother connector ???0

I set up a CCTV camera last year. Rather than worry about all the possible software/hardware issues with the computer, I connected it straight to a video recorder. It was an old unused video recorder, and I can record 8 hours on one tape at a time.
I printed out a table for each day of the month, so all I have to do is write down the time I turned the camera/video on. This is enough to give me a timeline for everything that happens on the tapes.
The best thing I ever did about the camera was to let all the local trouble makers know that it was there. I saw them outside one night, and went out to show them the camera. It's been fantastic since. I've even seen them crossing the road to avoid the camera (and my place) since I told them. I told them if there was any trouble outside my place the tape would go straight to the police with no exceptions/arguments.How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?
