Dementia and Council Tax

Just learnt that anyone diagnosed with Dementia and in receipt of attendance allowance can apply for a reduction if sharing home, or exemption if sole occupier, of their council tax. Check with the council tax section of your local authority or an advice agency or telephone the Benefit Enquiry Line.
