  • I'm not keen on red cabbage I have an organic chinese pointy one that I got on a whoopsie yesterday(5p) do you think it would be o.k. to use instead of the red.Its not very big, but as its only me to feed I could probably get several portions in the chinese take-away boxes.I have never cooked cabbage to freeze before. I'm trying to think of a way to use it up as its too big to have in one meal

Jackie - I've never made braised cabbage with a white cabbage, but I can't see why it wouldn't work. You can also freeze it uncooked, I sometimes shred it and then freeze if I have a lot, ideal for bulking up stuff!
