The bank have screwed up and im going to loose a lot. What can I do

Hi Everyone

further to my other thread, the bank (NR) have screwed up. Basically even though I indicated same day transfer and they have admitted it. They say that they cant fix it.

Now this guy im buying the website from said it was conditional on transfer tonight or he will sell it on to someone else (the price i got was a favour if you see what i mean)

So where do I stand now, I havent got 6K hanging round. the only thing I could do get a barclayloan (Ackkk) @ 17 for a few days (ie money is paid in on tuesday)

Any ideas, please, as im kinda screwed up now.

Why cant they fix it? Tell them to sort it or you will take them for liquidated losses

A loan for a few days isnt the end of the world, if its less than a week? Unless there are early redemption penalties

Ask them to sort you an overdraft for a week for free as a gesture of godwill

    Just a few thoughts
 Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
    This Ive come to know...

    Sounds like a good salesman.

Don't panic... he can wait. He's just trying to close the deal.

Well been on the phone to NR again and they cant sort it. BS I say. They reckon they cant stop a bacs transfer. Bet it if was there money they could.

Lol I got turned down for a barclayloan in the end too, prolly cause im suing them for unfair bank charges!

Im so peed off about this, that im gonna take my mortgage away from them on point of principle.

    Hi 13000,

It is possible to stop a BACS file, but it depends when NR have processed it.

If they have done it today, it can be stopped, but they would be charged around £200 for the priviledge. They would need to ring BACS and ask them to remove the file before it is processed.

If they did it yesterday, then I'm afraid they cannot stop the payment.

    Sorry I cant help more.

If it is a legitimate deal then he will wait a day or two, particularly as the bank will be able to issue you with a letter confirming the transfer has gone through.

I have to echo the others though - what website are you buying? URL registration is a lot cheaper than that - even if you need something a bit specific in the title - unless it is already associated with an existing business.
