    In what way?
    No company has to immediately debit funds from your card, hence the reason they are able to put a shadow on the funds, and delay taking it until the goods are ready to be dispatched.

    I can understand the scenario where the money is 'shadowed' not actually taken - hence they can 'reject' the order up until then [if their t&c say that].

    However what about where they actually DO debit the card [ie take the money [not just shadow it]] before dispatch [despatch looks better [imo], but I digress]??

    It just seems bizarre to me that a company can physically have your money in their bank account and you still not have a valid contract with them??
