McDonalds sausages

My DD loves these, the pancakes & sausage breakfast.
Hardly ever has it.

She asked if I could buy McDonalds sausages, I don't think I can - I think they are made for or by them.

I guess I could make them?

They are shaped like flat skinny burgers.

The hardest thing will be getting the right herbs & seasoning.

  • quite honestly, if you knew what goes into mass-produced sausages, you might not want DD to have them. Make some of your own, but without the fat, salt sugar and other nameless horrors, I am sure she will soon recognise the difference, and truly appreciate real food.

Quite close is Lorne Sausage Squares, Morrisons sell them in the freezer.
  • ... try their pancakes in the morning... they are wicked!... I prefer them to the sausages... :-)... They are easier to make too...

Oh I've seen those, they are horrible looking & very low meat content.

She likes the sausage & pancake mixed with maple syrup, I plan on making them on Xmas morning.

Sausagemeat, with some herbs and spices. May take a few attempts to get perfect so get a tube of meat, herbs and stuff (think it's mainly mixed ones) and then try adding different amounts, doing them in the same shape, then cooking. Probably in a frying pan..but not sure (I used to wrk there and don't think you can buy the patties)

That sounds like it would be pretty close to the McDonalds ones then! (Not slagging them off or saying you shouldn't eat them - just I think their ones would be very processed and low meat content - and probably wouldn't look very nice uncooked)
