Looking to buy a portable laptop with DVD ROM drive

It seems all netbooks come without a DVD/CD ROM drive and this is essential for me.

Can someone recommend a good laptop which is reasonably portable in weight and size and has a decent spec?

Preferably it will also have good battery life, have inbuilt Bluetooth and a webcam.

A notebook is a laptop. The smaller ones lack optical disc drives, the larger ones do not. That said, would something like this do?

It is NETBOOKS that do not have an Optical drive.

NOTEBOOKS are just small laptops - ie smaller screen, keyobards and lighter.

If you want to be pedantic, Wikipedia tries to define the different classes ...

Thank you, that's the sort of machine I was looking for however I read that Acer are of poor build quality... any more suggestions, perhaps of better brands?

I've got one of the higher models in the range and to me, it's got the balance between portability and functionality just right.

According to this it should last 3-4 hours.

Note: a closer look at the specifications of the Acer I posted reveals that it probably doesn't have an optical disc drive, so you'd need to buy the next model up. Oops.
