EON energy tracker - confused

I have been faithfully entering my meter readings at the nd of each month and have enjoyed seeing my energy tracker go green as I have used less gas and elec than last year.
However, tonight I entered my latest readings and had a quick look at the tracker (even though I know that the figures won't be incorporated tomorrow). I was surprised to find that my columns for gas for Sept and Oct have turned red. (elec still green). How can this be? How can it say I used less compared to those months last year and has now suddenly changed its mind? I've been entering readings each month so can't understand why this has happened.

Comments

  • Not sure why that has happened mate, I have just enterted my readings this morning and everything was fine with the enery tracker, both gas and elec down from last year.

88 elec units used in the month of november (Elec meter reader 5 digits)
13 gas units used in the month of november. (Gas meter reader 4 digits)

So I am happy with that I think, quarterely bill due next Thurs.
  • What I think might be happening is that, although it is accurately recording my actual consumption, through monthly meter readings, it might be that it has changed the comparison graph. The website states that this graph takes account of a number of factors, including meter readings.

So it makes it pretty unhelpful if I am trying to work out whether I am using more or less power in comparison with last year. As I explained, I was in the green for two months running and the same months have now turned red.
