Renting tips when offered by several different agents

Now I am looking, with a vengence, I have seen the same places on with several agents. But the amount of deposit on the same house can be equal to either 1 months rent or 1.5 months rent. Is this the criteria of the LA rather than the LL?
So do I assume I am better viewing through the one with the lower deposit or are there other factors I should look out for?

Ask th letting agents for a full breakdown of ALL charges relating to referencing, credit checks, renewing contracts, preparing inventories. The deposit should be returned, these fees won't be.Declutterbug-in-progress.⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️0

Thanks firefox
Looking at some of EAs web sites they give quite a lot of info about how they deal with tenants. And I will try and ask round to see if any have bad reputations.0 -
EAs that belong to professional bodies, such as ARLA, should reduce the risk of ending up with a rogue agent who doesn't understand housing law and offers poor service, the type that don't protect client funds and often dissolve and re-emerge trading under another name when they abscond with the tenants deposit and rent.
Though the following link is aimed at landlords, it gives info on why agents who belong to professional bodies should be more competent and trustworthy.
