Hello,
I'm trying to source some wooden blinds for our new-look front room, but we have a non-standard drop apparently...sounds painful..
There seems to be so many blind companies on the internet so I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations?
I don't even know what a good price would be - seen everything between £133 and £300 for 174cm x 190cm.

I can't really help except to say I need blinds fitting too. I thought about Hillary's - they do made to measure so they should cover your window size, but then they seem to be over priced and not very good if you read the reviews on here.
I wonder hpw hard it is to fit blinds DIY ... ?0 -
We have just bought some made to measure wooden blinds. 3 bedrooms and a large bay window. We were quoted £1200 from Hilarys (including fitting), Shopped around and got them for £480 from Blinds2go. They are couriered and we fitted them ourselves. The quality was good and they were delivered within a week

Were they quite easy to fit?0

We got some made to measure wooden blinds online, I can't remember where we got them, but there is a huge difference between the top and bottom quote.
Really shop around, they are very easy to fit.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
If it involves a drill then it won't be too easy for me
... Someone should be able to help out though.

I'm sure I used blinds2go as well. Each of the sites should let you enter the dimensions required & give you a price. They are very easy to fit, however, you will require the use of a drill
Quality and choice of colours is very good.

i used 247blinds for venetian and verticals - i'm sure they do wooden blinds.
I think Hillarys fit them for you0 -
I used Wilsons blinds...they are gorgeous and very easy to fit!0

I had about 9 long drop venetians to fit a few years back. I hired "the best" home repairs guy I could find to fit them. £25/hour and it took him exactly one hour as I was there unwrapping and handing him the next one as he went.
I figured if I got a really good bloke it'd be worth the cost because once they were up they'd stay up ... and they did.0 -
I used Interior Decor Direct for my made to measure wooden venetions but they make lots of other types too...

I went for the Deluxe range to get tapes rater than cords but they really are great and I think very cheap too.
Will happily take some pictures of them if needed.
Just checked, looking at about £98 for your sizes in the deluxe range.0
