struggling to find Samsung nc20 notebook ?

need a 12 inch screen so wanting to buy the samsung nc20 which i thought was the one everyone raved about when i first investigated netbooks a few months ago .

Last i knew they were about £350 .......

on amazon .. no black in stock .. but have white at what seems to be very cheap £299

on play.com black at £379 and white at £399 ?

can't find it on any of DSG's sites .

don't seem to be able to find it anywhere else ?

Anyone know better ??

Also ... is the white exactly the same machine as the black .. just differrent colour ?

You might want to take a look at the N510 also (albeit an 11" screen size). Nice screen and a fantastic keyboard.

I was keeping an eye on these on Amazon as that was the cheapest place I had seen other than obscure websites I wouldn't buy from. The black ones were £339 (I think) last week but I don't see black at all now so I'm wondering if Amazon is going to discontinue them. I hope not as I wanted to get one but need to wait to be sure my current contract gets extended before committing to one.

The only difference between the two models so far as I'm aware is the case colour. I don't fancy white though - somebody might think I'd bought a Macbook and so worth their while mugging

Regarding finding anything - I always try google shopping but as often as not buy from Amazon as their prices are usually competetive and I know that their aftersales is pretty good.

that reminds me ... expansys have the white nc20 at £267 delivered !!

If white is same machine spec.. this sounds like a brilliant deal ??

There is something strange about the cheap Expansys one - it says 10.1 screen size and 1.6GHz so I don't think it's an NC20 at all - especially as they also list a "proper" NC20 at £414

The Expansys one is a NC10 not a NC20 they've listed it incorrectly.

The cheapest I could find was the white one on Amazon. All the others were over the £350 mark for black.

I've come across another 12.1 netbook which looks to be a viable contender to the NC20 for less money.

Lenovo IdeaPad S12 @ £283 delivered but possibly cheaper elsewhere (haven't checked yet)
