If you really want to get involved in something like this, look into the collectors' market for Scotch Single Malt Whisky. More compact than wine, doesn't deteriorate in bottle and doesn't need the stringent storage conditions needed for wine. Small example - some years ago Bowmore bottled its 10 yr old Islay Malt in screen printed bottles selling for about £20. Nothing special, but because the screen printing stopped after about 5 years, an unopened bottle in original packing fetches around £150 now. Limited editions and vintage bottlings are the ones to go for. Clearly, not a guaranteed investment opportunity and difficult to resist drinking the 'investment' but OK for a little dabble!
