spillage in the tv

i am a new forumite,so here goes.i have just spilt bleach down inside my tv.it was not on at the time,but i am scared to turn it on,will it be safe,will it work ,what shall i do.

Leave it for a day or so to dry out then turm it on.

will the bleach damage the inside of the tv though,its an old style tv,quite deep with slits in the casing
